One of the problems faced by those aspiring to be wine collectors is the space offered by wine refrigerators. The Avanti WCR682SS is a free standing wine refrigerator that can accommodate a whopping 166 bottles. It has a very minimalist design – black and stainless steel. However, this adds to the overall elegance of the WCR682SS. The WCR682SS measures in at 71 x 23 x 26 inches (HWD) – it’s big and you’d definitely need room for it. The interior of the WCR682SS is comprised of a black cabinet that goes together well with the stainless steel frame door. The door glass is double-pane and tinted. If you are into securing your wine bottles, the reversible door offers a security lock as well. To showcase your wine collection, the WCR682SS features an interior lighting.

The shelves of the WCR682SS are made to slide-out, thanks to the ball-bearing rollers. While the specification of the WCR682SS states that it can handle 166 bottles, this is measured using the standard 750-ml bottles, such as the Cabernet or Bordeaux types. If you are planning to stock up on bigger bottles, such as Chardonnay, Pinot Noir or Souverain, you might need to remove a shelf, as the WCR682SS does not have adjustable shelves. It features a digital thermostat that displays the temperature inside the wine refrigerator. However, take note that the thermostat displays the temperature of the section nearest to it. Due to the size of the WCR682SS wine refrigerator, there is an approximately 9 degrees difference between the top and the bottom of the unit. It would be best if you will take separate readings with a digital thermometer to know exactly how cold a section is and what would the best wine to place there. The WCR682SS is not quiet, though the noise is not loud enough to be very distracting. All in all, wine collectors with a large amount of wine bottles to shelve would benefit from the size of the Avanti WCR682SS.
